Reading the Quran is one of the most inspirational things you'll ever do. I find when I'm in a particular mood certain Verses inspire me and my belief and love for Allah increases even more. Therefore in our Quran section I've wanted to keep things simple. So whatever emotions you find yourself going through at the moment, I hope the following categories below inspire and help you reconnect with Allah.
Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam. And those who were given the Scripture did not differ except after knowledge had come to them – out of jealous animosity between themselves. Satan threatens you with poverty and orders you to immorality, while Allah promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing. Exalted is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe. Surat Az Zukhruf 43:82 And Allah created the heavens and earth in truth and so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged. Surat Al-Jathiyah 45:22
And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit there from, they will say, “This is what we were provided with before.” And it is given to them in likeness. They ask you about wine and gambling. Say, “In them is great sin and [yet, some] benefit for people. But their sin is greater than their benefit.” And they ask you what they should spend. Say, “The excess [beyond needs].” Thus Allah makes clear to you the verses [of revelation] that you might give thought. Surat Al-Baqarah 2:219 O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah ], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds [that] for them there is forgiveness and great reward. Surat Al Ma’idah 5:9 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. Surat Al-Buruj 85:11 Indeed, the righteous will be in gardens and pleasure, Surat At-Tur 52:17
Allah has promised to inflict trials on all of us, testing us in one way or the other. And we only need to turn to Him each time asking for His mercy and guidance to lead us righteously out of the trials and tribulations, rather than to lose hope and commit one of the greatest sins by ending our lives. In one of the Surahs, Allah has said, “And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, “Indeed, adversity has touched me, and you are the Most Merciful of the merciful.” So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity. And We gave him [back] his family and the like thereof with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for the worshippers [of Allah ]. And complete the Hajj and ‘umrah for Allah . But if you are prevented, then [offer] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And do not shave your heads until the sacrificial animal has reached its place of slaughter. And whoever among you is ill or has an ailment of the head [making shaving necessary must offer] a ransom of fasting [three days] or charity or sacrifice. And when you are secure, then whoever performs ‘umrah [during the Hajj months] followed by Hajj [offers] what can be obtained with ease of sacrificial animals. And whoever cannot find [or afford such an animal] – then a fast of three days during Hajj and of seven when you have returned [home]. Those are ten complete [days]. That Allah may reward the truthful for their truth and punish the hypocrites if He wills or accept their repentance. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful. Those who consume interest cannot stand [on the Day of Resurrection] except as one stands who is being beaten by Satan into insanity. That is because they say, “Trade is [just] like interest.” But Allah has permitted trade and has forbidden interest. So whoever has received an admonition from his Lord and desists may have what is past, and his affair rests with Allah . But whoever returns to [dealing in interest or usury] – those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide eternally therein.
